If something goes wrong in the app, you can send a log along via Settings › Report a problem. Your moments are not in it.
Questions
How do I export my moments?
Go to Settings › Export all moments. You get a folder with all your moments, photos, videos and recordings, which you can keep wherever you like, for example in Files or on your computer. With a passphrase the export is encrypted. Remember that passphrase well: without it, nobody can open the export, not even us.
I have a new iPhone. How do I bring my moments across?
If you move to the new iPhone from your old one, or restore it from an iCloud Backup, Saidling comes along automatically. Otherwise, make an export on your old iPhone, and on the new iPhone choose Import an export at the start, or later Settings › Import.
What happens after 50 moments?
Your first 50 moments that you make yourself are free. After that, a new moment requires a subscription. Everything you already have stays yours: you can keep viewing, editing and exporting it, even without a subscription. Moments you receive from others do not count.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Saidling. You can also open it in Saidling via Settings › Manage subscription. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the year you have already paid for.
Can I get my money back?
Payments go through Apple, so you ask Apple for a refund, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot arrange that ourselves.
I have a subscription, but Saidling does not see it.
In Saidling, go to Settings and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account as the one you used to take out the subscription.
How do I pair with someone to send moments?
You both need Saidling. If you are together, scan each other’s QR code. From a distance, send an invitation via Messages, WhatsApp or another app. The other person taps the link and sends a reply back. When you tap that, you are paired.
I tap a pairing link, but Saidling does not open.
Then the link opens this website. Tap Open in Saidling. If you do not have Saidling yet, install the app first and then tap the link again.
Can you see or recover my moments?
No. Your moments are only on your own iPhone, and in exports and backups that you make yourself. We have no copy. So make an export from time to time.
